On November 9, 2011, School District 21 will join countless other school districts in Chicagoland and around the nation in further increasing the efficiency of placing substitute teachers when it begins its use of Aesop as an attendance tracking and substitute placement system.

Aesop, owned by Frontline Placement Technologies, is an "Automated Substitute Placement & Absence Management" system. It can be accessed by permanent District 21 staff members as well as by substitutes both online and via the telephone. Nearly all District 21 absences are recorded through this system, and nearly all absences that require substitute teacher or staff member are fulfilled through this system.

In preparing for this transition, School District 21 has developed its own CCSD21 Aesop Support website in addition to the support resources available from Aesop.

The final school day for which calls will be made by the CCSD21 Sub Caller for assignments will be Tuesday, November 8, 2011.

Current CCSD21 staff members and substitute teachers will receive their Aesop login information over the weekend of November 5-November 7.
