The federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act, which was termed "No Child Left Behind" when it was reauthorized in 2002, requires that each school be identified as either having met Adequate Yearly Progress or not. This determination is based on student performance on state test scores, the percentage of students who participated in state testing, and attendance rate.
Going beyond the requirements of Title I and Illinois State Board of Education regulations, District 21 is releasing the Adequate Yearly Progress status of all of its schools for 2011 here.
