The 2011-2012 State of the Schools events will take a different format this year with District 21 hosting a Community Resource Fair at each middle school. These important events are each open to community members from throughout School District 21. The first successful State of the Schools event was held on September 22, 2011, at London Middle School. Two upcoming State of the Schools events remain on the calendar:

- September 22, 2011 - London Middle School
- October 5, 2011 - Cooper Middle School
- October 13, 2011 - Holmes Middle School
